The term “awakening” has been so overused it’s practically a spiritual MLM slogan now. “Hey hun, have YOU awakened? Want to earn passive income while aligning your chakras?”
You Didn’t Awaken. You Just Paid Attention.
People love to say “We’re all awakening now” like it’s some sudden global enlightenment movement, but let’s be honest:
There’s no such thing as an awakening.
What people call “awakening” is just consciousness evolving which it’s been doing since humans existed. You’re not special because you started asking questions. You’re just finally paying attention.
Let’s stop pretending this is some new cosmic event.
People like Carl Jung or Nikola Tesla weren’t “ahead of their time.” That phrase cracks me up.
No, you just learned about them late and assumed time began when you got there!
These were people deeply engaged in the same questions you’re asking now. They weren’t anomalies, they were tuned in. There have always been humans peeling back layers, questioning reality, and feeling the ache of something more.
Just because it’s new to you doesn’t make it new to the world.
The real process? It’s not mystical. It’s messy. It looks like:
• No longer tolerating your own BS
• Feeling allergic to inauthenticity
• Seeing your trauma patterns and realizing they’ve been driving the damn car
• Losing the ability to perform who you think you should be
• Suddenly finding capitalism nauseating and small talk unbearable
And that’s not awakening. That’s de-conditioning. That’s emotional sobriety. That’s finally crawling out of the illusion with your soul hair matted and your ego limping behind you in tears.
You didn’t ascend. You just got tired of the lie.
It’s also not new. It’s the same evolutionary impulse that’s been whispering through mystics, rebels, artists, healers, and tired-ass mothers in bathtubs since the beginning of time. The only thing that’s changed is that now we can livestream it.
So no, this isn’t The Great Awakening.
It’s the latest version of humanity doing what it’s always done when enough people get fed up with the dream:
We start telling the truth.
This is up there with "born again". Im happy for people that find happiness in religion, or really anything that not causing other people (which can also be religion). But acting like a dunk tank changes anything on earth is silly. Just be a better person without the theatrics.
I love this!!! "You turned your brain in and started asking questions"!!!
